Dominic Trépel
Prof. Dominic Trépel (PhD) is the Director of Health Economics Ireland and Trépel Lab based in Trinity College Institute for Neuroscience. Dominic joined Trinity College Dublin in 2017 as faculty for the Global Brain Health Institute (www.gbhi.org) and Trinity School of Medicine. As a primary investigator in Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience (TCIN) , he directs Trépel lab and leads multiple health economics research grants in Ireland and internationally.

Economics of Brain Health
Dr Sanjib Saha research focuses mainly on the economic evaluation of health interventions using randomized controlled trials and decision analytic models. Saha works on several aspects of public health, focusing on non-communicable illnesses, maternal health, and health behaviors in both developing and developed nations. Saha is skilled at doing systematic reviews, meta-analyses and economic analysis.

Ms Men Hoang hold a European Master degree in Health Economics and Management, from a joint multidisciplinary program of four universities including Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands), University of Oslo (Norway), University of Bologna (Italy), and Management Center Innsbruck (Austria), with specialisation in Economic Evaluation in Healthcare
Hoang’s PhD project is "Economic Evaluation of Interventions for Dementia".

Mr Amanuel Yiguzu is a PhD candidate in Health Economics working on economic evaluation of comprehensive geriatric assessment. Before joining TCD, Yigezu led the health insurance benefits package redesign and economic evaluation of TT surgery in Ethiopia. Yigezu supported the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia in estimating the cost-effectiveness of the health extension program of the country and in designing the Essential Health Service Package of the country. Whilst undertaking his PhD, Yigezu continues to collaborate with different national and international institutions.

Ms Angelika Sharygina research focuses on identifying and analysing fake news, misinformation, harmful content, and extremist groups online.
Sharygina joined Trépel lab at Trinity College Institute for Neuroscience as a Visiting Researcher in March 2022, and started her PhD on the consequences of misinformation in conflict and war. Sharygina holds a King's College London Master's in War Studies. Drawing upon her expertise in foreign affairs and diplomacy, Sharigina navigates the intersections of geopolitics, information integrity and cutting-edge technologies. Recent works include being commissioned by Reuters Foundation to produce a report "Ukraine. Media consumption and perceptions.”
Sharygina is specialising in research on interventions for misinformation, and is a strategic policy advisor and has a focus on impact-driven technologies and promoting responsible AI use with a human-centered approach.

Mr. Daniel Araya-Ríos is a PhD candidate in Health Economics at Trépel Lab, Trinity College Dublin. His research focuses on how individuals' health choices affect brain and physical health using econometric techniques for causal inference and choice modeling.

Mr Mikael Äijälä is a Research Assistant in Health Economics setting out to apply Economics to promote heath and wellbeing. Interested in the intersection of Economics and Behavioural Science, Medicine, Cognitive Science, and other interdisciplinary approaches to inform decisions impacting health and cognition.
Äijälä holds a Bachelor of joint honours in Economics and Business from Trinity College Dublin

Kathryn (Medical Doctor and Psychology graduate) is a Clinical Research Fellow in psychedelic science and inclusion health. Kathryn co-founded and conducts research at PsyCare Ireland, Welfare and Harm Reduction CLG, providing welfare services at music events. Kathryn also investigates service-use patterns in emergency departments related to substances and socioeconomic factors.
